What is a Podiatrist?
A podiatrist is a specialist in the medical, physical, and surgical treatment of the human foot and ankle. After a premedical undergraduate degree is achieved, four more years of study are earned at an accredited College of Podiatric Medicine to receive a Doctorate. A podiatrist must also complete a residency and pass both the state and national exams to be licensed by the state Board of Medical Examiners.
Trained Professionals and Board-Certified Surgeons
Podiatrists are doctors trained to keep feet healthy and working well.
