What
is a Podiatrist?
A podiatrist is a specialist in the medical, physical, and
surgical treatment of the human foot and ankle. After a premedical undergraduate degree is achieved, four
more years of study are earned at an accredited College of Podiatric
Medicine to receive a Doctorate. A podiatrist must also complete
a residency and pass both the state and national exams to
be licensed by the state Board of Medical Examiners.
Trained Professionals and Board-Certified Surgeons
Podiatrists are doctors trained to keep feet healthy and working well.
Physicians at Podiatry Associates are board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Each doctor has graduated from podiatric medical school, completed an approved podiatric surgical residency program, fulfilled practice experience and surgical case submission requirements, and passed rigorous written and oral examinations. |
